The Hotchkiss Chamber of Commerce

A business succeeds most spectacularly when it is well connected; connected to business peers, connected to vital ideas and connected to its home community. The Hotchkiss Community Chamber of Commerce provides local businesses an opportunity to tap into much of this essential connection.

As a Chamber our work is broad in approach, but focused in mission. Sucinctly put, the Hotchkiss Chamber exists to promote a healthy business climate in the North Fork Valley and to enhance the overall quality of life in our community. And we undertake this work in a spirit of collaboration; often working cooperatively with other local civic and business organizations. This website, created jointly by the Hotchkiss and Paonia Chambers of Commerce, stands to demonstrate that the fruits of working together often surpass individual efforts. Together, we will continually labor to assure that this website remains a dynamic and indespensible resource not only to the visitor to the North Fork Valley, but also the local business community and the residents of our beautiful and unique valley.

These are high minded notions but you may be looking for something more concrete; some explanation of what we actually do as a Chamber. Truly, words have little meaning when not backed up with action. The Hotchkiss Chamber is a body of about 90 local community minded business men and women. Our governing body is elected and all-volunteer, without a paid staff or physical office, which means we are as effective as the involvement of our members.

Fortunately, the Hotchkiss Chamber can boast a core of involved members. The Chamber not only maintains this informational website, but also a well-stocked visitor center on the east end of Town, located adjacent to the Hotchkiss Inn, and three event signage boards at each entrance to Town.

The Chamber also hosts quarterly networking Business After Hours events, collaborates with other local Chambers on a periodic Business Symposium, organizes a Holiday Arts Crafts and Business Fair, lends promotional support to the annual Antique Fair as well as the annual Hotchkiss Sheep Camp Stock Dog Trials, and answers volumes of inquiries from the public. In addition, the Chamber periodically facilitates tour visits from organizations such as, The Colorado Grand, Bicycle Tour of Colorado and Ride the Rockies.

In the Hotchkiss Chamber area of this website you may review our bylaws and policies, print out a membership application, search our dynamic database of member businesses, and more... Please contact the Chamber if you would like to become involved in our organization or if you feel we could provide you assistance.
